Codenames

I'm Becca, this is Courtney, and if you average our heights together, we're 5'9"!

That's what I told Becca to say whenever she introduces us from now on. Only, here, we decided that codenames are cool. And we wanna be cool. We're also mighty fans of Kristin Cashore's Graceling trilogy, so figuring out said cool codenames wasn't very hard. We shall hence and forever be Codename: Fire and Codename: Bitterblue, respectively. Long story short is this: we're friends who like books, writing, tea and burritos, and we've come here to tell the world about these things as we see them. We don't know how much of this will be interesting or useful, but this is how we get by in the world.

If this were the olden days, we'd write this on papyrus and send it to each of your houses via sacarab beetle. But it's the 2000's and we are super smart about making webpages so we did! ...okay Courtney made it. It was very gracious of her to let me have the codename of Fire because she and I are both gingers and she's definitely the more ginger of the two of us. But, honestly, it wasn't even that generous; I didn't want it.

Our friendship began with jealousy and annoyance and morphed into something beautiful (actually, Becca, I believe that you mean: Cattawampus/Awesome/other cool lingo) once we discovered our mutual love of things like stomping in rain puddles, vandalizing rocks, doing weird dances and above all, laughing. We are kindred spirits, us two, and Courtney's the first person I've met who not only loves to read as much as I do but also loves to read pretty much the exact type of books I do. So a book blog makes sense. One day I hope to be on the acknowledgement page of Courtney's debut novel as "that girl who wrote a book blog with me". And, obviously, every single one of my books will be dedicated to Courtney because that is how she'd want it. (Courtney endorses this statement!)
